El Portal Employment Services was established in the spring of 2002 with the successful merger of two highly qualified and experienced employment consultants, Jackie Zamora and Cecilia Martinez Howard.

Jackie Zamora is currently a Psychology and Spanish major at UNM and was working in Psychosocial rehabilitation before joining forces with Cecilia. Among Jackie's great contributions to El Portal which include strong computer knowledge, she is also the lead singer for two local popular Salsa bands "ENCANTO" and "DESTINO" |

Cecilia Martinez Howard worked in Mental Health and Psychosocial Rehabilitation before going into Supported Employment. Her community involvement and networking skills have contributed greatly to El Portal's success. She is president of CWIN'S, a women's Investment Club in Corrales and a member of the Hispanic Women's Council. |
The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Association of New Mexico (PSRANM) awarded El Portal Employment Services the award for Employment Specialists of the year during their 12th annual conference.
